Neville Chamberlain quotes talk about a time on the earth when world war two pressed hard in Europe and the lives of many were in peril. Much hasn’t been recorded about what he had to say but the quotes shared are focused entirely on war and the consequences of it. He was succeeded by Winston Churchill who was known for his victory after he stood up to Nazi Germany. Chamberlain resigned in 1940, below are a number of quotes from him.
Neville Chamberlain Appeasement
Neville Chamberlain was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1936 to 1940. He resigned after his country declared war on Nazi Germany. Chamberlain was known for his soft approach after he gave over parts the then lands of Czechoslovakia now called the Czech Republic. He is well known for the appeasement he made to Adolph Hitler, who desired more than Chamberlain gave which led to war. He died shortly after he resigned. John Maynard Keynes is compared to Neville Chamberlain in some ways just more educated as he too was in an economic situation with Hitler.
Neville Chamberlain Speech
Neville Chamberlain speech was given to the British people at a time when he sought to appease Hitler with the Munich Agreement. The focus of that speech was the desire to avoid war and he promoted peace instead. You would have read at least a small part of his speech in the quotes above. For more about British history read Margaret Thatcher quotes. I hope that his quotes would have been found useful and of some level of inspiration.
